NEW

·       NEW ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 15, 2020.

·       Due to the special situation world-wide (coronavirus: COVID-19), we will EXCEPTIONALLY ACCEPT abstracts that were accepted to the 2020 IADR/AADR/CADR General Session in Washington, DC, USA (March 18-21, 2020).

·         YOUNG CED-IADR workshop on science communication

·         Clinical Case Reports can be submitted (to be presented in a separate poster session).

·       Lunches (on Thursday & Friday) and coffee breaks are included in the congress registration fee.

 

IMPORTANT DATES

·       Mid-June, 2020: Abstract acceptance notification emailed to presenters

·       July 15, 2020: Early registration deadline; registration deadline for presenters

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

·      Can I submit a ‘Clinical Case Report’? YES, Clinical Case Reports can be accepted to be presented as posters under the category ‘Clinical Case Reports‘.

·      My abstract was accepted to the 2020 IADR General Session in Washington, DC, which was cancelled. Can I resubmit it to the PER-IADR congress in Marseille? YES, we will EXCEPTIONALLY ACCEPT abstracts that were accepted to the 2020 IADR/AADR/CADR General Session in Washington, DC, USA (March 18-21, 2020). These abstracts will be marked with a “Reprinted with permission” notice in the abstract book.

·      Will my abstract be published? Accepted AND presented abstracts will be published in a special online issue of the Journal of Dental Research, the premier journal for dental, oral and craniofacial research.

·      Can I submit more than one abstract? You can co-author more abstracts but present only one abstract.

·      Do I have to be a member in order to submit an abstract? NO, you do not need to be a member to submit an abstract. However, members can register for a reduced fee. Your 2020 membership must be paid in order to be eligible for the reduced member-registration fee.

·      When is the congress registration deadline? All approved presenters MUST pre-register for the congress before July 15, 2020. Others may also pre-register before July 15, 2020 to benefit from the reduced early congress registration fee.

·      Can I modify my abstract once it is submitted? YES, you can make changes to your abstract submission at any time prior to the abstract-submission deadline by logging into your ScholarOne Account and returning the abstract to ‘Draft’. It is not possible to modify your abstract after the deadline under any circumstances.

Different from other congresses, PER-IADR offers free networking opportunities. All participants can benefit at no extra cost from: lunches (on Thursday & Friday) and coffee breaks, ‘Meet a Mentor‘ sessions, the Opening Ceremony with ‘finger-food’ reception on Thursday evening. Moreover, participants are invited to the ‘PER-IADR Congress Get-Together’ on Friday evening (for a small extra cost).

 

HOTEL

Contrary to previous years, there is no congress hotel. All participants are therefore requested to book their own hotel WELL IN ADVANCE to guarantee best value for price.

Marseille is the main commercial port of France with excellent transportation infrastructure, connecting bustling highways, ancient shipping routes, international airways and railways. Besides being France’s second largest city, it is home to the biggest French research centre after Paris, located at the prestigious Aix Marseille University.

 

Marseille is also very famous for its gastronomy and leisure activities. On top of that, the wonderful weather in September allows for sailing, swimming, hiking and climbing in the famous creeks (les Calanques) …
