Applications for 2026 NOF Hatton Awards and NOF Travel Grant Stipends

NOF TRAVEL STIPENDS

The Scandinavian Division of IADR (NOF) offers travel stipends to young researchers attending the 2026 CED/NOF-IADR Oral Health Research Congress, which will be held during September 3–5, 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal. Applicants for the NOF travel stipends must submit an abstract for presentation at this meeting. The selection of stipend recipients will be based on a competition for the best abstracts. A scientific committee will be responsible for the selection.

Please submit your abstract for the meeting in Portugal via the Congress Online Abstract Submission System and choose “NOF Travel Stipend”.

The applicant must be a member of IADR/NOF. Winners will be informed during the last week of April 2026. Applicants must be able to document that they meet the criteria for a travel stipend – see NOF’s website https://www.iadr-nof.com/grants/

Travel grant stipend winners must apply to the NOF treasurer, Dr. Nina Sabel, for the payment of stipend after the congress, latest on December 1, 2026. Those who do not apply during this period will not receive travel grant. Stipend application forms are found on the homepage of NOF. Please remember that the receipts must be attached to the application as well.

Please note: NOF student members, who receive NOF travel grant, can also apply for the reimbursement of 2026 congress registration fee (student early-bird) and IADR NOF 2026 student membership fee. Please follow the announcements at the NOF’s website for detailed information.

THE NOF HATTON AWARD COMPETITION

Young researchers are invited to enter the Nordic Hatton Award Competition. The objective of the award is to encourage and reward outstanding young dental scientists. There will be two Nordic winners in this competition. Each will receive a stipend of € 1000 and automatic admission and expenses for travel and accommodation to attend the international Hatton Awards Competition, to be held at the IADR/AADOCR/CADR General Session & Exhibition on June 23-26, 2027 in Melbourne, Australia.

Applicants for the Nordic Hatton Award Competition must submit an abstract for presentation at the CED/NOF-IADR Oral Health Research Congress, which will be held during September 3–5, 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal. Also be sure to choose “NOF Hatton Award”.

The scientific work should be unpublished at the time of the submission. Only members of the IADR/NOF may participate in this competition. Participants will be informed during last week of April 2026. Applicants must be able to document that they meet the criteria for the NOF Hatton Award Competition – see NOF’s website https://www.iadr-nof.com/awards/
